Foundations for a new housing block in Adeyfield.
We were approached by our client to carry out 113nr 350mm CFA piles and 8nr crane base piles to facili-tate the construction of a new development in Hemel Hempstead.
The piles were to be bored into chalk with varying depth and reinforcement details to resist the loads imposed by the proposed building.
We opted to use a Soilmec SF50 Cfa piling rig that has the capacity to install piles up to 25M in depth.
Due to the length of the mast on this machine we were able to lift and install full length reinforced central bars for the crane base without the need of multiple splices and trapping off details to speed up pro-gramme. The rig and associated piling equipment were mobilised, demobilized and all piles completed for the client within 2 weeks.
