Ø 350 mm
23 m depth
On behalf of our client Neilcott Construction, who was working for the Girl’s Day School Trust, we were presented with a brief to design and install the most efficient and cost effective foundations for a new junior school building.
The new building to be constructed using a highly-sustainable hybrid cross laminated timber-framed solution and will pro-vide teaching spaces for creative arts, life sciences, technology, ICT, music and general study.
The scheme was designed at 350mm diameter piles to resist the load specified by the client, these piles ranged to 23M and were installed by a Casagrande B175XP CFA Piling rig into London clay.
Cages were tied on site which allowed us the flexibility to move to different areas of the project while platforms were in-stalled around us. Our design needed to accommodate existing piles that remained from a previous development on the site.
